For the past 14 years, Vanita has served as a Senior Bookkeeper for
the East Brunswick Board of Education, specifically in the Department of Student Services.
This position has equipped her with a strong understanding of budget management, financial
planning, and operational efficiency within an educational setting. Her expertise in
fiscal responsibility and strategic resource allocation is invaluable to her role on the
Montgomery Township School Board.
In addition to her professional qualifications, Vanita is a
passionate community leader. She has spearheaded numerous initiatives in the East
Brunswick School District to foster community engagement and enrich student talents. As a
former board member of the Indian Cultural Society, she established an award recognizing
seniors for excellence in performing arts and community service. Her interest in special
education provisions stems from her years of managing budgets for the Special Education
Department, and she is committed to advocating for all students.
Vanita holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Gulbarga
University in India and a diploma in computer science from Chubb Institute. Prior to her
involvement in education, she worked for prominent corporations such as AT&T,
PSE&G, and Chubb Insurance. She is also a proud mother of two children who have
benefited from New Jersey's rich educational system.
With her background and experience, Vanita is devoted to
utilizing her skills to make a positive impact on the Montgomery Township Board of
Education. Her drive is fueled by what she calls the three Ps: Productivity, Passion, and
Perseverance, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that every child in the district has the
resources and opportunities needed to succeed and contribute to society.
